Who we are
Founded by Tim Whiting, Whiting Executive Leadership is committed to helping individuals and businesses navigate professional challenges. We listen. We support. We enhance your skills and opportunities.

A note from Tim:
I have successfully completed the Diploma in Professional Coach-Mentoring with The OCM - a course that holds the Global Quality Award, conferred by the EMCC.
Before becoming a coach, I spent 27 years in corporate publishing, latterly as Executive Publisher and Managing Director. During my publishing career, I worked with significant writers, public figures and thought leaders such as Michael Wolff, Dominic Sandbrook, Baroness Dambisa Moyo, Gillian Tett, Lord Mervyn King, Walter Isaacson, Thomas Friedman, Gerald Scarfe, Tim Harford, Mark Urban, Tali Sharot, Evan Davis, Richard Koch and Edward Luce.
As well as working as a coach, I still work directly with a small number of authors, helping them to shape their books and book proposals. I am also a Chair Partner of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and a Board Trustee at Books Beyond Words.
I am married with four children and live in London.
‘Tim was recommended to me by a colleague. He’s an excellent listener: knowing when to let someone follow a train of thought without interruption and when to make perceptive comments or ask questions to shape better understanding. He challenged me constructively using clear explanations of psychological theory to illustrate principles, and I’ve discovered far more than I expected about optimising ways of interacting with people and developing my self-control. I can confidently say that Tim has made a real difference to my understanding of human thought processes and how I can make use of that understanding to be a more effective leader. I can’t recommend him highly enough.’

HMRC, Deputy Director
'Working with Tim over several coaching sessions has had a genuinely positive impact on me, both professionally and personally. He helped me gain valuable perspective on how to make the most of my current role while also taking practical, structured steps to explore what might be next. Tim has a real talent for asking insightful questions and challenging your thinking in a constructive way. He encouraged me to look beyond surface-level reactions and understand the drivers behind them, which has been hugely helpful in my decision-making and self-awareness.
I came away from each session with greater clarity, confidence, and tangible tools I could apply straight away. I’d happily recommend Tim to anyone looking for a coach who brings warmth, intelligence, and a genuinely thoughtful approach to helping you move forward with purpose.'
